1 Wolfgang Gartner & Deadmau5 Animal Rights
Its not easy to get a good sounding collaberation now-a-days especially
with the travel schedules of the big producers, so when two of the busiest
guys on the cicuit get together to produce a monster like this you
appreciate it for what it is. Joey Youngmans electro guise adds a musical
edge to Deadmau5’s grind and they complement each other perfectly on this
track.
2 Faithless Tweak Your Nipple
The British trio deliver the goods once again with the second single off
their new album “The World”. While Tweak Your Nipple might not of had the
stack of celebrity remix’s as the first single Not Going Home, the
Crookers mix more that makes us for the lack of vartiety with a cracking
edgy electro house hit.
3 Trentemoller Even Though You Are With Another Girl
The Copenhagen based Danish producer Anders Trentemoller displays more of
his effortless class with his new single off his “The Great Wide Yonder”
album. The original track is beautifully sombre and melodic with a
haunting vocal cutting through it, but its the Kollektiv Turmstrasse mix
that is really getting my blood rushing with its tech house swing.
4 Cajmere Perculator
Curtis Jone otherwise known as Green Velvet released this number back in
1992, and while it was a legendary cut at the time it certainly needed
some cobwebs and dust blown off it to give it the 2010 treatment and who
better to do that than man of the moment Riva Starr who puts in a chunky
funky mix. Catch this master of his trade at Truth in a couple days.
5 RA223 - Superpitcher
Resident Advisor is one of the leading authorities on underground dance
culture, their site is one of the leading news based sites on the web for
electronic music so you can imagine that I am on there at least once a
week to check for new gear and releases as well as mixes. I stumbled over
this gem of a mix from the Cologne based producer Superpicher who presents
a bewitching mix of voodoo house and techno. Great listening and available
for free via itunes or direct download. Enjoy!
